Mandalika Continues To Improve, Central Lombok Regent Asks For The Construction Of A Realized Hotel
Central Lombok Regent Lalu Pathul Bahri asked investors who are included in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to immediately build hotels that have been planned to have an impact on community economic growth.
"Investors brought in by ITDC should immediately realize the construction of hotels as planned for the welfare of the people of Central Lombok widely," said Central Lombok Regent Lalu Pathul Bahri after morning exercise in the Tanjung Aan area, Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), Friday 11 July, confiscated by Antara.
The land management rights area (HPL) of PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC) in the eastern zone of Mandalika or Tanjung Aan is planned to build a five-star hotel to support the readiness of tourism development accommodation in the area.
"Whatever policies within this area have gone through the process according to the rules, we still support the progress of development in Central Lombok," he said.
He said that in developing tourism and economic growth, the community needed the collaboration of all parties, both the central, regional and village governments and the community.
"Every thing that is carried out by the government is to increase development, land or this area belongs to the government which is granted management rights to ITDC," he said.
Therefore, ITDC's task is to continue managing the area to increase state revenues and the proceeds are used for the benefit of the wider community, not for personal or individual interests.
"ITDC does not only manage the Mandalika area, as well as the Nusa Dua Bali area, Golo Mori NTT and other priority-scale tourist destinations in Indonesia," he said.
He said that for the public interest in the Mandalika area, it remains a commitment for all parties to pay attention to, such as improving road infrastructure in areas that can be used for community activities.
"Public areas will continue to be considered and structuring to support tourism development in Mandalika," he said.
