DVI Team Difficulty Identifying 4 Bodies Allegedly Victims Of KMP Tunu
BANYUWANGI - The Disaster Victim Identification Team (DVI) is still having difficulty identifying the bodies of four suspected victims of the sinking ship KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya because the condition of the bodies was found for more than a week.
Deputy for Search and Rescue Operations for Basarnas Preparedness and Preparedness, Ribut Eko Suyanto, said that while he was in charge of carrying out the SAR, the bodies that were found for more than five days had difficulties in identification.
"But calm down, the DVI team can still identify the four victims using the antemortem pattern (data on the characteristics of the victims)," he said at a press conference at Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Thursday, July 10.
The three bodies that could not be identified were male wearing a black t-shirt and blue short jeans. They were found 26 miles from the location of the sinking ship, precisely around Perpat Sembulungan Beach Muncar (Banyuwangi) on Wednesday (9/7) night.
Furthermore, the female body with the characteristics of wearing blue jeans was found on Plengkung Beach, Alas Purwo National Park area, Tegaldlimo District (Banyuwangi) on Thursday (10/7) morning.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the three male victims of the sinking ship found at Jembrana Regency Fruit Beach (Bali) are about 18 miles from the location of the sinking ship. Characteristics of the corpse wearing blue jeans and red black plaid clothes and cover shoes.
And another male body was found at Jembrana Regency Fruit Beach (Bali) on Wednesday (9/7) morning.
Until now, the four bodies that were strongly suspected of being victims of the sinking ship were still at the Blambangan Banyuwangi Hospital, East Java.
