Jenius And Wise Cooperation Make It Easier For Customers To Send Foreign Currency
JAKARTA - Jenius, a digital bank from SMBC Indonesia, collaborates with Wise Platform, WISE's global payment infrastructure to make it easier for customers to make international transfer transactions in various currencies.
SMBC Indonesia's Digital Banking Product & Innovations Head Febri Rusli said that previously more than six million Jenius users could carry out foreign currency buying and selling transactions directly through the Jenius application at any time. Through a collaboration with the Wise Platform, Jenius also provides convenience for its users by providing international transfer services in various currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, SGD, AUD, and HKD, which can be directly carried out from the Jenius application at any time for 24 hours 7 days without holidays.
"Bius users can now enjoy a faster, more transparent, real-time international transfer process, and be sent directly from the foreign currency balance owned by users on the Jenius application," he said at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, July 10.
He further said that so far, the Indonesian people have faced various challenges in sending money abroad, ranging from high costs, old processes, transparent costs, to limited operating hours of banks.

"This collaboration is here as a solution to these various challenges, as well as supporting various international needs of the Indonesian people, such as parents who finance children's education abroad, international students, Indonesian workers abroad who send money to families in Indonesia, to business actors who carry out international transactions," explained Febri.
Meanwhile, Commercial Lead Wise Platform Indonesia, Erma Epryani added, Wise's collaboration with Jenius is an important step in expanding the presence of Wise Platforms in Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region.
