Pramono: Corruption Temptation In Greater Jakarta, IDR 91 Trillion Makes Many People Digillary
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he must always withstand temptation while leading Jakarta. Pramono admitted that he must protect himself from potential corruption if he saw the amount of revenue and regional expenditure (APBD) in Jakarta every year.
This was revealed by Pramono at the Corruption Eradication Coordination Meeting held by the KPK with local governments in the Jakarta, Lampung, Bangka Belitung Islands, South Sumatra, Banten, and West Java areas.
"We have to protect ourselves with the system. Jakarta has a budget of Rp. 91.2 trillion. Next year it will be Rp. 94 trillion. Surely everyone will pay. Of course. So I have to protect myself," said Pramono in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, Thursday, July 10.
For decades as a state official, Pramono admitted that he had to have an anti-corruption protective system. He has been implementing this since serving as a member of the DPR RI, Cabinet Secretary, to the current Governor of DKI.
"I protect myself. Especially what I think in my face is my grandson, what if one day there is something wrong with myself. Because the temptation is not small," said Pramono.
Pramono claims he runs the government in Jakarta in a transparent manner. One example, Pramono highlighted the process of managing the compensation for building floor coefficients (KLB) by high building managers. When he learned about the length of the licensing process, Pramono immediately ordered his subordinates to be completed.

"To raise the building, there are 12 years. Some are 4 years, 5 years, 6 years. Even when I only served for approximately 2-3 weeks, I called the Regional Secretary, Mr. Secretary, why is this taking so long? I want this to be transparent, can't be finished? Don't take so long," he said.
"Finally, the figure came out of Rp480 billion. Payable. Paid. Even though it's been 12 years. That's why I said internally, now everything is transparent, it has to be completed 15 days. If 15 is not finished, the governor will sign. Done," he added.
