Huawei Mate 80 Hospitals Predicted To Use New Main Camera From Smartsens
Jakarta Huawei is reportedly preparing a new surprise for its flagship series, Mate 80 RS. The latest leak reveals that this premium phone will be equipped with the latest main camera system from Smartsens, with large sensors and improved video recording capabilities.
According to information from a trusted Digital Chat Station source on Weibo, the Huawei Mate 80 Ultimate Design Hospital will use a new camera hardware called SC590XS. Although it is not yet clear whether the entire Mate 80 variant will get the same update, the most premium model is sure to carry the latest camera system.
Given that the RS series usually has specifications similar to the Pro variant, it is likely that this camera will also be used in the Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro+. The sensor has a 50MP resolution of 1/1.28 inches (equivalent to the sensor on the iPhone 16 Pro). Although smaller than the 1-inch sensor on the 80 Pro Temple and 80 Ultra Pura, this camera is built with a 22nm process and a pixel size of 1.2 cm.
