Google Presents New Settings On Android To Ensure Important Services Are Always Updated
JAKARTA - Google added a new dashboard called "system service" to your Android Privacy & Security settings. It serves to streamline important Google background service updates and ensure your device is always up-to-date.
In addition to Android's core firmware, Google is also adding a layer of additional services responsible for activating various features on your device, strengthening its security, and even activating core features for other apps.
Most of these services are updated every month, different from regular Android firmware updates, and you download the latest updates for most of these apps or services via the Google Play Store.
However, if you disable automatic app updates on the Play Store, some of these updates may be missed although very important. That's why Google is now releasing a special dashboard for this service.
The new "system service" dashboard added in Android settings allows you to manage all Google background services running on Android. It also addresses the fact that your Android device is never fully up-to-date. In addition, it hints that it can also enable automatic updates for those background applications.

This new dashboard features a list of all system services supported on your phone, and classifies them as "available Updates", "Uninstalled", and "Renewable". Although the interface also allows you to delete or disable this background service, doing so is not recommended because it can affect the usefulness of your device.
This new dashboard is expected to accompany Google System Service updates for July 2025. On your Android device, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > System Service to see a list of internal services that make all your Android phone features run smoothly.
This system service dashboard is launched for devices running Android 6 Marshmallow or later. If you don't see it immediately, you can go to Settings > Privacy & Security > System and update and install the latest Google Play system updates.
After the update is downloaded, you will be asked to restart your phone. This will add a system service as a new option. If you don't have it, you'll get it in a few days.
