Russia Sends 700 Bomb-carrying Drones To Ukraine After Trump Promises Weapons To Kiev
JAKARTA - Russia is targeting airstrikes on Ukraine with a record sending 728 drones overnight.
Citing Reuters, the airstrikes took place hours after American President Donald Trump promised to send more defense weapons to Ukraine.
Trump also sharply criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin at the moment.
The attack involved hundreds of drones other than ballistic missiles to be the latest in the Russian-Ukraine conflict in recent weeks.
Ukrainian air force spokesman Yurii Ihnat on Ukrainian television claims his military crashed nearly all Russian drones.
However, the launch of six Russian hypersonic missiles has caused damage in Ukraine.
On Tuesday 8 July, Trump said he was considering supporting a bill that would impose severe sanctions on Russia, including a 500 percent tariff on countries buying Russian oil, gas, uranium and exports.
