Muamalat DIN Electronic Money Refill Transaction Reaches 1.95 Million Times

PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk recorded that the number of electronic money refill transactions at Muamalat DIN reached almost 2 million transactions.

Head of Digital Banking & Marketing Communication Bank Muamalat Dadang Rohandi said electronic money top up transactions in Muamalat DIN reached 1.95 million, an increase of 35 percent compared to May 2024.

This amount contributes about 16 percent to the total transaction in Muamalat DIN, which amounts to 12.5 million transactions as of May 2025.

"This increase in transactions reflects the digitalization initiative carried out by Bank Muamalat showing positive results. That way, we hope that Bank Muamalat's products and services will pave the way for customers to move to safe, comfortable, and blessed sharia financial services," said Dadang, Wednesday, July 9.

The first bank of pure sharia in Indonesia made it easier to refill the electronic money cards of TapCash BNI, Flazz BCA, and various digital wallets at competitive costs through Muamalat DIN. Moreover, currently a number of services such as toll roads and public transportation have implemented many non-cash payment systems using electronic money cards.

"We continue to expand cooperation with more strategic partners so that the features in Muamalat DIN can also be developed following customer needs, both for the needs of Islamic financial transactions and the spiritual needs of customers," said Dadang.

For customers with near field communication (NFC) technology phones, the top up of the BNI Tap Cash or BCA Flazz electronic money card can be done by directly attaching an electronic money card to the cellphone, entering the top up nominal, then completing the transaction.

Other alternatives can be made by entering the Muamalat DIN application and then opening the 'Buy/Pay' menu.

After that, in the 'Electronic Money' menu there is an electronic money option that will be refilled.

Meanwhile, the top up of digital wallets can be done in the same way, but by entering the mobile number that has been registered with each of these digital wallet applications.

"We understand that customers are increasingly needing complete Islamic financial services so that they continue to add relevant features to Muamalat DIN," said Dadang.
