Witness: Mbak Ita's Husband Leaked The Semarang Bapenda Becomes The KPK's Target
JAKARTA - Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Semarang City's Data Collection and Tax Registration Division, Binawan Febrianto, said that Alwin Basri, the husband of the former Mayor (Walkot) of Semarang, had given a leak about the tax management institution in the Central Java capital, which had become the target of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) operation (TO).
"January 2024 Pak Alwin was angry, saying 'you are being 'TO KPK'," said Binawan when questioned as a witness in the trial of the alleged corruption case of former Mayor of Hevearita G Rahayu alias Mbak ita at the Semarang Corruption Court, Wednesday, July 9, which was confiscated by Antara.
According to him, Arwin Basri said that the Semarang City Bapenda was no longer sterile and had been leaked.
He said the leak in question was related to giving money to Mayors Hevearita G Rahayu and Alwin Basri, which came from the joint contributions of Bapenda employees of Semarang City.
Witness Binawan confirmed the provision of additional operational rations to Hevearita G Rahayu for a total of IDR 1.2 billion.
The awards occurred in the fourth quarter of 2022, respectively, and in the first, second, and third quarters of 2023.
Meanwhile, the allotment for Alwin Basri, which totaled Rp. 1 billion, was handed over in July, twice in October, and November 2024.
"The December 2023 ration has actually been prepared, but has not been given. Pak Alwin asked to be stored first because there is still a KPK," he said in the trial chaired by the Chief Judge Gatot Sarwadi.
In January 2024, he continued, Alwin Basri had time to collect the ungiven allotment before finally being angry because the case had been leaked to the KPK
Regarding this testimony, Alwin Basri, who is also a defendant in the alleged corruption, did not object.
