Looking At The Marvel Studio Phase 4 Projects

JAKARTA - Marvel Studio is preparing a number of series and films that will air this year. Flashback, in 2020, Marvel hasn't released any projects for the first time since 2009.

This time, they will present a number of films for theaters as well as the Disney + streaming service.

Launching Variety, Marvel boss - Kevin Feige said that this creative expansion has been the most aggressive of the Marvel cinematic universe since 2012. What projects have been released?

Serial

With the success of WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Marvel will feature Loki which will air on June 11.

Apart from live action, Marvel has also tried out the world of animation with the What If…? where several collections of alternative stories are featured. The audience is invited to wish that Peggy Carter should have taken the serum rather than Steve Rogers.

Hawkeye is also one of the series that entered the line up. Hawkeye is the only Avenger superhero in the serial category for Disney Plus. Production has been completed since last April.

Film

The series of MCU superheroes in the fourth phase will be here for Marvel fans. Starting with Black Widow, this film has been delayed since a year ago due to the pandemic.

Eternals, who have had a fate like Black Widow, have also become Marvel's mainstay this year. The film Eternals was directed by Chloe Zhao and tells a series of heroes led by Gemma Chan.

Then there is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which will air on September 3. Shang-Chi is the first MCU superhero played by an Asian, Simu Liu.

There is also Ms. Marvel, who became the first Muslim character in the MCU. Kamala Khan, a 16 year old woman will be the central figure in this story.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, a collaboration between Marvel and Sony Pictures, will be released in November. Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx were confirmed to play their villain characters for No Way Home.

Year 2022

It doesn't stop in 2021, Marvel is trying to treat fan disappointment by releasing a first look for the project in 2022.

Starting from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and Ant Man and the Wasp.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the continuation of the first film. Previously, Kevin Feige stated Marvel would not find a replacement for Chadwick Boseman for the role of T'Challa.

The Marvels is also a sequel to the film Captain Marvel, played by Brie Larson. Rather than focusing on one character, this film presents the story of a group of female superheroes.

Worth looking forward to

In addition to the list above, there are a number of Marvel projects that are not yet known. Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3, for example.

Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Armor Wars, I am Groot, and Blade have also been announced but no progress has been made in terms of cast and production.

There is also a series about Wakanda that Disney has announced and directed by Ryan Coogler. Likewise with the Hawkeye spinoff series about Echo, an American superhero who can imitate his opponent.
