Earthquake M 5.4 Guncang Lampung And Banten, BMKG Urges To Be Alert

BANDARLAMPUNG- The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) stated that an earthquake measuring 5.4 magnitudes rocked a number of areas in Lampung Province on Wednesday 9 July at 06.50 WIB.

Based on its official website monitored from Bandarlampung, BMKG explained that the epicenter of the earthquake was 95 km northwest of Sumur.

The coordinates of the earthquake were at 6.52 degrees South Latitude (LS) and 104.73 degrees East Longitude (BT) with a depth of 24 kilometers.

The provinces of Lampung that felt the earthquake were Bandarlampung City, Sembika, Sawah Marketing, Great City, and Sumberjo.

In addition to the Lampung area, a number of areas in Banten Province, such as Bayah and Cibeber, were also felt.

BMKG appealed to the public to be careful of aftershocks.
