YG Entertainment Promises Compensation To Screen Blocked BLACKPINK Concert Spectators
JAKARTA - YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's agency, which organized the "Deadline" world tour, apologized to a number of spectators who attended the inaugural concert at the Main Stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex, Gyeonggi on Saturday and Sunday last week.
The apology followed complaints from spectators whose views to the stage had to be blocked by a large screen, even though they paid higher ticket prices than other spectators who sat in the zone with partial views.
The affected N3 zone is valued at 132,000 won per seat compared to the chair with a partial view of 99,000 won.
According to Korean caporan JoongAng Daily, the ticket booking website has stated that "a structure can hinder views" for spectators in the N3 zone, but viewers later claim on social media that organizers fail to clarify the severity of the barrier.
No reviews can be written. I can't see anything, "said one user X who claimed to be sitting on N3 on Saturday, and uploaded a photo showing the big screen blocking the main stage.
The account says it can only see some fireworks and drones that are part of the show.
"I am very angry because (the organizers) sell these chairs as part of the sale of the main ticket and not as a chair with limited views," he continued.
Regarding the complaint, YG Entertainment delivered an official statement on Monday, July 7.
"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience experienced in the N3 zone due to limited views during the Blackpink concert over the weekend," YG Entertainment said.

The agency said it had installed a screen to cover the console installed in front of the zone that was blocking the stage. The screen is meant to improve the viewing environment and is not meant to cause discomfort.
The agency also promised follow-up to affected spectators, with notifications to be announced later through ticket vendors. However, YG did not mention what compensation would be given.
"We will pay more attention to the view of the audience and do our best to provide a better experience in the future," said YG.
For information, the two shows in Goyang, which are the beginning of BLACKPINK's Deadline' world tour, were attended by around 78,000 fans.
Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will also visit Jakarta for their world tour. They will appear at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on November 1 and 2.
iMe Entertainment as the promoter has also officially sold tickets through tiket.com. There are eight categories available, with prices ranging from IDR 1,450,000 to IDR 3,800,000.
