24 Ambassador Candidates Pass Fit And Proper Test, DPR Sends Results To President
JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives has passed 24 ambassador candidates or ambassadors of the Republic of Indonesia after participating in a fit and proper test or fit and proper test at Commission I of the DPR RI. Furthermore, the DPR RI will send the results to President Prabowo Subianto for follow-up.
"All of them meet the requirements of the fit and proper and are accepted by the names to become ambassadors proposed by the government," said Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Adies Kadir at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, July 8.
The deputy chairman of the Golkar Party explained that the results of the fit and proper of the 24 ambassador candidates were not read out at the plenary meeting because they were not required by the DPR's rules. Therefore, said Adies, Commission I immediately submitted the results to the leadership of the DPR, then would forward them to the government.
