Comeback To The Big Screen, Bastian Steel Calls Much Helped By Aghniny Haque

JAKARTA - Bastian Steel returned to the big screen film through the film Selepas Tahlil. He played Yudhis, the younger brother of Hara (Aghniny Haque), whose life changed after their father, Hadi (Epy Kusnandar) died.

For Bastian, After Tahlil became the moment of his comeback, which was previously more busy with music projects and playing in the series.

"Surely I'm very happy and grateful to be back in acting in big screen films, because I didn't shoot for a long time, to be more of a series and others," Bastian said at a press conference at Epicentrum, South Jakarta recently.

In addition to returning to the big screen, Bastian is also happy because he is trusted to play a serious character in horror films.

"Yes, finally playing the horror genre, the character is more serious, the character is more challenging. So very happy, this is an extraordinary experience," he said.

The actor, who is also a TBA member, said his co-star in Selepas Tahlil helped a lot during the production process, especially Aghniny Haque.

"I was stiff, thanks only to Aghni and others, so I helped them a lot to make it easier for me to go through," said Bastian.

"Yes, fortunately we have a reading process and so on. In the reading process, I asked them to help Bastian to create Yudhis character like the one this film wants," he added.

Meanwhile, Aghniny Haque admitted that he was lucky to get Bastian as an opposing player. He called Sitha Marino's girlfriend a talented actor.

"I'm really grateful to get a sister and finally get a friend too. In my opinion, Bastian is a very professional actor," said Aghni.

"And in my opinion, casting director. It looks really right looking for Bastian," he added.

Meanwhile, After Tahlil is a horror-drama film produced by BION Studios that tells the story of two siblings who are terrorized by the bodies of their own father who rose and walked from Surabaya to Lamongan, after their last will was not fulfilled.

The story of this film is inspired by the viral episode of the horror podcast Lentera Malam, and stars Aghniny Haque, Bastian Steel, and Epy Kusnandar.

Directed by Adriano Rudiman, the film Selepas Tahlil not only brings supernatural horror, but also emotional dramas about guilt, family secrets, and dark heritage that are secretly passed down.

The incident experienced by Aghniny while filming was one of the many behind-the-scenes stories that made this project feel more 'living' both technically and spiritually.

Film Selepas Tahlil akan segera tayang bersamaan di seluruh bioskop Indonesia mulai 10 Juli.
