President Prabowo Makes State Visits To Brasilia After The BRICS Summit

JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto on Monday left for the Brazilian capital, Brasilia to carry out state visits and hold a meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inrypto Lula da Silva.

The meeting between the two leaders of the country will take place at the Brazilian Presidential Palace as part of efforts to strengthen strategic relations between Indonesia and Brazil, quoted from the website of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Tuesday, July 8.

This state agenda signifies Indonesia's active role in the international community, especially in strengthening bilateral diplomacy with friendly countries in Latin America.

This visit to Brasilia has an important meaning in strengthening bilateral relations that have existed for more than 70 years.

It is known that Indonesia and Brazil have strategic partnership relationships with great potential in the development of trade and investment relations.

As the largest trading partners in Latin America, Indonesia and Brazil have also entered into agreements through various fields ranging from defense, energy, to agriculture.

In addition, this state visit is also expected to produce a stronger understanding in strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The state visit to Brasilia was carried out after President Prabowo attended a series of meetings of the 2025 BRICS Summit (KTT) which was held in Rio de Janeiro on 6-7 July 2025.

From Gale Gale Base, Rio de Janeiro, the Presidential Aircraft Garuda Indonesia-1 which took President Prabowo and his entourage to take off for Brasilia at 14:45 local time.

The President's departure to Brasilia was officially released by the Head of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry Office for Rio de Janeiro State, Ambassador Marcia Maro, and Deputy Airforce Base Commander Gale promulgate Colonel Andrei.
