President Prabowo Affirms Indonesia's Commitment To Facing Climate Change At The 2025 BRICS Summit
JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto emphasized Indonesia's commitment to facing climate change and the global health crisis.
This was conveyed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia while attending the second day of the 2025 BRICS Summit with the theme "Environment, COP 30, and Global Health", highlighting environmental challenges and global health issues in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Monday 7 July
In his statement after accompanying President Prabowo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Nasir (Tata) conveyed the real challenges of climate change facing the world.
Indonesia, said Deputy Foreign Minister Tata, is committed to participating in fighting these climate change.
"Earlier, the President said that the impacts of climate change were greatly felt by Indonesia. And conveyed Indonesia's commitment to fighting climate change and especially our efforts to carry out clean energy," said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata, quoted from the website of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Tuesday, July 8.
At the session, according to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tata, a number of countries also expressed their commitment to dealing with problems regarding climate change. This includes strengthening collaboration and climate agendas ahead of the "Conference of The Parties" or COP30 which will be held in Brazil.

In addition to climate and environmental issues, Deputy Foreign Minister Tata said President Prabowo also paid attention to global health issues. According to him, Indonesia expressed support for the World Health Organization (WHO) in dealing with global health issues.
