Creepy Nuts Show Two Different Sides In Double Single Anyar
JAKARTA - Japanese eccentric hip-hop musician Creepy Nuts released two new singles: Mirage which has a high energy Latin and Nemure' rhythm. Both are opening and closing OSTs of Season 2 of the popular supernatural anime Yofukashi no Uta (Call of the Night).
This genre-breaking music unit has a long history of presenting dynamic music for TV series. They also celebrated the release of their fourth album, LEGION, which was released via Sony Music Japan.
These new songs show the talents and breadth of Creepy Nuts music. "Mirage" features Spanish guitar, while R-shitei performs vocals similar to Astrad Gilberto and Bad Bunny. The lyrics touch the innovative themes of this vampire series, the moments that pass quickly, complex emotions, questions about identity, passion, and paranormal things.

Illustration of the existence of this duo unique in Japanese culture, the original Yofukashi no Uta 2019 manga was inspired by the song Creepy Nuts of the same title. When the anime was launched in 2022, the group also provided the opening and closing OSTs for Season 1: Daten (Fallen Angel) and Yofukashi no Uta. Last May Creepy Nuts brought home two awards at 9th Crunchyroll Anime Awards for Best Opening Sequence and Best Anime Song for their original song Otonoke, which is also the OST for the series Dan Da Dan.
They face stiff competition including Yungblud, K-pop star Tomorrow X Together, and also self for their hit song 'Bang-Bang-Born' (from Mashle: Magic and Muscles), which they also display live.
That same month, Creepy Nuts won a historic award at the 2025 Music Awards Japan, winning nine categories including Best Japanese Hip Hop/Rap Artist and Song of the Year (plus seven other trophies) for the song 'Bang-Bang-Bang-Born'.
The song has reached 800 million global streams to date, while the Otonoke has reached more than 330 million global streams. Both songs are featured on the LEGION album along with the single dryptangmenger which is also the theme song for live-action Under Ninja adaptation films.
