BRICS: Unseparated Gaza Parts From Palestine

JAKARTA - The leaders of BRICS countries insist that the Gaza Strip is an inseparable part of the Palestinian sovereign territory, which also surrounds the West Bank, and must be ruled as a single-unity by the Palestinian Authority.

This is one of the contents of the declaration agreed at the BRICS 17th Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 6-7 July 2025.

"We recognize that the Gaza Strip is an inseparable part of the occupied Palestinian territories," according to the summit's declaration.

"We underline, in this regard, the importance of uniting the West Bank and Gaza Strip under the Palestinian Authority," as confirmed in a declaration by BRICS leaders reported by ANTARA from Sputnik.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance organization, Hamas, launched ground and air attacks from the Gaza Strip on Israel. According to Israeli authorities, 1,200 of its citizens were killed in the attack, while 200 others were hostages.

Israel then launched a large-scale attack on the Gaza Strip and announced a full blockade policy against the enclave.

Israel's relentless attacks, apart from the brief ceasefire, have killed more than 57,000 Palestinians and 1.500 Israelis.

The war in the Gaza Strip has also spread to a number of other regions in the Middle East, including Lebanon and Yemen.
