Ukrainian Military Attacks Russian Chemical Factory For Explosive Production
JAKARTA - The Ukrainian military attacked a chemical plant in Moscow, Russia, which produces thermobaric explosives, ammunition, and warheads for the Shahed attack drone.
"A series of explosions were recorded in the city of Krasnozavodsk and the movement of fire trucks in neighboring settlements," General Staff Kyiv said in a statement on the Telegram messaging site.
The final report of the attack is still in the clarification stage.
Peaceful Negotiations
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously told US President Donald Trump peace negotiations between Moscow and Kiev in Istanbul "will remain bilateral," a Kremlin aide said on Thursday (3/7).
"We started from the fact, and I think the Americans understand this very well, that negotiations will be bilateral between representatives of Russia and Ukraine," Yuri Ushakov told reporters after a phone call between Trump and Putin, which lasted about an hour.
Putin also told Trump that Moscow is ready to hold a third round of live talks with Ukraine, although leaders do not discuss specific dates or conditions, he added.
The Russian president also informed his US counterpart of the implementation of the previous humanitarian agreement reached between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul.
"He (Putin) informed (Trump) of the progress of the implementation of the Istanbul agreement reached during the second round of direct Russian-Ukraine contacts," Ushakov told reporters.
He stressed that while the third round of negotiations were still on the table, "specific content of the possibility of a third round was not discussed."
"Our president stated that we are ready to continue the negotiation process," Ushakov continued.
The first two rounds of talks between Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul, resulting in a prisoner swap and the handover of the bodies of soldiers who died to Kiev. Draft memorandum of understanding about conflict resolution was also exchanged.
