KPK Calls Khofifah's Examination Regarding Bribery Of Probabilities Grant Funds In East Java
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still coordinating to recall the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa. This politician also has the opportunity to be questioned outside the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
Meanwhile, Khofifah should have been summoned as a witness in the bribery case for grant funds for community groups or pokmas from the East Java Provincial Budget for the 2019-2022 Fiscal Year on June 20. However, he was not present because there was a scheduled agenda so he asked for a reschedule.
"The Governor of East Java is still coordinating the schedule for the examination whether it will be in Jakarta or in East Java," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, July 7.
Budi ensured that his institution did not provide any privileges to Khofifah. He said the possibility of an examination in East Java could be carried out because the team handling this case was in East Java.
"So later wherever the examination is, the most important thing is the information and information that will be conveyed by the witness in question," he said.
"We certainly need information and information that investigators really need so that they can help handle this case," continued Budi.
In this case, the office of Khofifah and her deputy, Emil Elestiano Dardak and his subordinates were searched by investigators on December 21, 2022. A number of documents related to the alleged bribery of East Java Provincial Government grant funds were found and confiscated.
Then, Khofifah's name was also mentioned by former Chairman of the East Java DPRD Kusnadi after undergoing examination as a witness on Thursday, June 19. According to him, the former Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) was aware of grant funds and participated in discussing them in his capacity as regional head.
Previously reported, the KPK again investigated the alleged bribery of grant funds for community groups or pokmas from the East Java Provincial Budget for the 2019-2022 Fiscal Year. 21 suspects have been determined from the development of the case.
In the process of running, a number of locations have been searched by investigators. Among them are the house of former DPD Chairman La Nyalla Mattalitti and the East Java Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) office.
In addition, the KPK has asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent 21 people from leaving the country in this case. They are a case that is a state administrator or member of the East Java Provincial DPRD; AI, a member of the East Java Provincial DPRD; MAH, a member of the East Java Provincial DPRD; and AS a member of the East Java Provincial DPRD.
Also prevented by BW, JPP, HAS, SUK, AR, WK, AJ, MAS, AA, AYM, AH, RWS, MF, AM, and MM as private parties; FA as a member of the Sampang Regency DPRD; and JJ who is a state administrator or member of the Probolinggo Regency DPRD.
