Coordinating Minister Zulhas: 100 Red And White Kopdes Ready To Operate

Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan revealed that 100 village cooperatives (Kopdes) of the Red and White were ready to operate.

Hundreds of these cooperatives will become pilot models.

The cooperatives are planned to be launched directly by President Prabowo Subianto on 19 July. The launch activity center will be held in Klaten, Central Java.

Zulhas, as he is familiarly called, said that currently there are 500 cooperatives that already have legal entities, but of these, only 100 meet the requirements.

Furthermore, Zulhas said that the formation of the Red and White Kopdes was carried out in stages and was targeted for completion by the end of 2025.

This is also to ensure the readiness of business units before accessing financing.

"But if we can, each district (mockup) is not perfect, it's okay, because it's perfect later at the end of the year, it will be launched," he explained.

Zulhas said the Red and White Kopdes will receive funding sourced from loans from the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara). Where the borrower ceiling reaches IDR 3 billion.

"Later, IDR 3 billion on loans from Himbara. Loans, loan ceilings. But after the business is clear. Don't just take money, no. So it's not the state budget," he said.
