MBG Beneficiaries Reach 7 Million People, BGN Claims Exceed Singaporeans
JAKARTA - The Special Staff of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN Special Staff), Redy Hendra Gunawan, said the number of beneficiaries of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) continued to increase by 1.2 million.
Thus, the total beneficiaries from the beginning of operation until July reached 7 million people. He conveyed this in a weekly update on Infrastructure Support for the Acceleration of the MBG Program, Sunday, July 6.
"BGN next week, there will be an additional 1.2 million beneficiaries so that the total we will serve next week is almost 7 million beneficiaries," he said, quoted from the National Nutrition Agency's Youtube channel.
According to him, this figure has exceeded the total population of Singapore, so the quality and service standards are top priorities.
"This has exceeded the total population of Singapore so that the National Nutrition Agency continues to carry out the operations of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) according to the standards we have determined to avoid unwanted incidents by all of us," continued Redy.
Redy said, his party is currently conducting a verification process for around 4,000 prospective SPPG partners who have registered.

"BGN is verifying the partners of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit, which today queues around 4,000 for us to verify. Hopefully this verification acceleration will be carried out so that the BGN target in August will be achieved quickly," concluded Redy.
Previously, BGN said the number of SPPGs that had been operating reached 1,873 units. In the near future, this number will increase by around 2,200 SPPG units.
BGN's initial target is to operate 1,994 SPPGs by July 2025. However, the acceleration of realization makes the number of active SPPGs estimated to exceed this figure.
