Alasan Dua Lagu Bara Suara Dipilih Untuk Soundtrack Film Sore: Istri Dari Masa Depan

JAKARTA - Yandy Laurens, director of the film Sore: Wife of the Future revealed the reason for choosing two Bara Suara songs as soundtracks.

He explained how he interpreted the two songs. For him, "Wasted in Time" reflects the struggle in a relationship, especially marriage.

"It's like LDR and my wife, eh, with a boyfriend. So there's a sense of fighting, how can I marry her and be together all this time," Yandy said in a press conference for the film, last week, quoted from ANTARA.

However, he realized that the struggle did not end after marriage. In fact, after fighting together, the challenge of "flirting in time" continues.

According to Yandy, the section, which talks about marriage and relationships, is an essence that cannot be missed or removed from the film. He felt that the song managed to translate the story he wanted to tell.

Producer Suryana Paramita revealed that the soundtrack was chosen when Yandy was with her in the car.

"Yandy likes to listen to loud music (his voice) in the car, and from there he can think about a lot of scenes, make a film which he doesn't know yet but he thought about the scene first. Then when he was in the parking lot, he told me, Mit, try listening to this song while he tells the scene he wants to make, so it's like 'pitching' actually," said Paramita.

On the other hand, Barasuara personnel themselves feel proud to be trapped in this project. They feel the song Bara Suara so they have a new dimension.

"When we made the song, we had our own universe that we knew about with its own plot. But when it was placed in a film, it was like having a new universe," said Iga Massardi.

Gerald Situmorang then told about the creative process behind it, where a composer and director of Ovel Obaja music became an important player in creative discussions to liven up their work with the film "Sore: Wife of the Future".

Not just discussing the placement of the track for one full audio; on the other hand, Ovel instead asked for "series" from their songs.

The existence of these "lights" allows elements such as original orchestraes, guitars, vocals, and drums of the song to be complete when strategically integrated into the film scene "Sore: Wife of the Future".

"As stated by Mas Adhitia Sofyan, in this film, music is prioritized in storytelling rather than just a background," said Gerald.
