The Red And White Kopdes Will Soon Operate, Can Absorb 2 Million Workers

JAKARTA - The Presidential Communication Office (PCO) of the Republic of Indonesia revealed that the Red and White Village Cooperative program is one of the priorities of President Prabowo Subianto's government.

In uploads on the official Instagram account @pco.ri, he said that as many as 92 pilot Red and White Village/Sub-District Cooperatives in 38 provinces of Indonesia will start operating on July 19, 2025.

The Presidential Communication Office claims that in the establishment of the Red and White Village Cooperative, there will be a new job opening and absorbing a total of 2 million workers.

In addition, the Merah Putih Village/Sub-District Cooperative is prepared to be able to advance the economy of villages and sub-districts and is expected to alleviate poverty, reduce the flow of urbanization, and increase human resources throughout Indonesia.

As for the plan to establish the Red and White Village Cooperatives, there will be 80,400 cooperatives in all villages and sub-districts in Indonesia.

"From the village for the progress of the nation. The government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, is moving quickly for the development and equitable distribution of the village economy through the Red and White Village/Sub-District Cooperative," he wrote, quoted on Sunday, July 5.

The establishment of the Red and White Village/Sub-District Cooperative is claimed to be in line with the Asta Cita program number 6 which aims to encourage economic growth and equity, as well as eradicate poverty.
