Megawati Ukir History Becomes The First Indonesian Volleyball Player In The Turkish League

JAKARTA volleyball star Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi made history as the first Indonesian volleyball player to play in Turkey after she officially joined Manisa BBSK.

The player nicknamed Megatron was officially announced by Manisa BBSK as their player through social media Instagram on Saturday, July 5, 2025, early morning WIB.

"Welcome Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi! Manisa BBSK has reached an agreement for the next season with Megawati Hanggetri Pertiwi, who plays at Daejeon Redmen's in V-League South Korea," the club wrote.

This announcement comes just one day after Megawati married Dio Novandra on Friday, July 4, 2025.

In addition, this certainty also answers the riddle of Megawati Hangestri's future, which was previously filled with question marks to where she anchored after leaving Redmen.

Megawati had defended Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia in the final four Proliga 2025. However, the issue of him playing in competitions in Turkey continues to blow.
