Voice Of Baceprot Regrets The Beauty Of Garut's Nature Not Used For Music Shows

JAKARTA - Voice of Baceprot (VoB) was appointed as the 2025 Forestra lineup for an orchestral music show that combines musical works with the forest landscape which will be held at Orhid Forest Cikole, Lembang, West Bandung on August 30.

The trio from Garut consisting of Marsya (vocals and guitar), Widi (bass), and Siti (drums) does not deny that Forestra has a beautiful venue, where the stage and audience will interact between shady trees

However, when asked if it was possible that Forestra would also be held in Garut, the personnel joked about saying the conditions in their area of origin were not as good as Lembang. Marsya said that many forests and green mountains were already barren, besides that access roads were also not very good.

"Actually, in Garut, there are a lot of places like this (Orchid Forest Cikole), only access is not as easy as here," said Marsya during a press conference in Lembang, West Bandung recently.

"There are those who have access to it is quite good, but the nature is not supportive," he continued. Because in Garut, especially where we live in Singajaya, it's still far from this. The construction is not optimal.

Marsya regretted the conditions in her area of origin, considering that the natural beauty in Garut also has great potential to hold performances in the open.

"The government must be diligent in seeing the surrounding environment, diligently taking it to other directions. Garut is not just the city center, but its remote areas are still wide," said Marsya.

"Don't be diligent in visiting when you're campaigning, when you've won, you're rarely visited, that's why the road is bad," said Siti.

As for the appearance at Forestra 2025, VoB will be accompanied by an orchestra led by Erwin Gutawa.

In addition, Erwin Gutawa Orchestra will also accompany Reza Artamevia, Sal Priadi, The Sigit, Bernadya, Raja Kirik, and Ensemble Tikoro. Meanwhile, Iksan Skutter, The Panturas, and Oom Leo Berkaraoke will appear in a single show.
