Komjen Ahmad Dofiri Officially Retired Today, Who Is The 'assistance' Figure Chosen By The National Police Chief?

JAKARTA - Komjen Ahmad Dofiri has officially entered retirement or retirement as a member of the National Police. Thus, the position of Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Wakapolri) is temporarily vacant.

It is known that Komjen Ahmad Dofiri entered retirement after his 58th birthday today or exactly June 4, 2025.

Several three-star police generals were matched as the right figures to fill the position of number two in the Bhayangkara Corps.

However, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is said to have pocketed the names of his members who are considered appropriate to replace Komjen Ahmad Dofiri as Deputy Chief of Police.

"Until now, the best candidates from high-ranking police officers to occupy the Deputy Chief of Police are already in the hands of the National Police Chief," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, quoted on Friday, July 4.

The names will not be disclosed. However, it will be announced in the near future.

"Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we can immediately announce it to replace Mr. Dofiri as Deputy Chief of Police for the following position," he said.

Meanwhile, on different occasions, the National Police Chief had stated that many figures could replace Komjen Ahmad Dofiri. However, the names will be submitted to President Prabowo Subianto before being announced to the public.

"What is clear is that there are certainly many good candidates from the National Police institution, candidates who meet the requirements. We are currently preparing and later we will ask for instructions from the President and after that, of course, we will announce it immediately," said Sigit.
