KPK Opens Opportunity To Snatch Corporate Suspects In LPEI Case
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that allegations of corruption in the provision of credit facilities by the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) would be thoroughly investigated. Development continues from the information obtained by investigators.
"Every information and information obtained by investigators will definitely be investigated, traced by other related parties," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 3.
"Including the construction of the case, it will definitely be observed whether it is the actions of an individual or a corporate act," he continued.
In addition, the KPK also does not hesitate to apply the article on money laundering (TPPU) against parties who have been named as suspects. "We are certainly very open so to continue to explore and develop this case," said Budi.
Meanwhile, Budi said that the KPK had also received a report from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) regarding companies that were problematic debtors.
"The three companies are outside of the previous 11 companies that have been submitted," he said.
Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption related to credit by the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI). Three of the five suspects have been detained.
They are Jimmy Masrin as President Director of PT Caturkarsa Megatunggal as well as President Commissioner of PT Petro Energy; Finance Director of PT Petro Energy Susy Mira Dewi Sugiarta; and Newin Nugroho as President Director of PT Petro Energy.
Meanwhile, the two suspects who have not been detained are Dwi Wahyudi as Managing Director I of LPEI and Arif Setiawan as Managing Director IV of LPEI.
Currently, the KPK has only investigated lending to PT Petro Energy. The state losses caused by this rasuah practice reached Rp846.9 billion.
However, this amount has the potential to increase to IDR 11.7 trillion. This is because there are 10 other debtors who give their loans by LPEI are considered problematic.
