KPK After The Snare Of Former Head Of PUPR Sub-District Head Bobby Nasution's Subordinates: The Road In North Sumatra Is Bad Because Of Corruption
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the damaged road conditions in North Sumatra Province occurred because the budget was corrupted. This allegation arose after investigators found Rp2.8 billion in money at the house of Typhoon Obaja Putra Ginting or Typhoon Ginting as the former Head of PUPR Office of North Sumatra Province
The search was carried out after Topan was named a suspect in the alleged bribery of the PUPR Service and the PJN Satker Region 1 North Sumatra.
"During the search at the TOP suspect's house in the amount of Rp. 2.8 billion, it is suspected that it has something to do with projects that have been carried out or road construction that have been carried out in the past," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters quoted on Thursday, July 3.
"So this confirms that the quality of road infrastructure in North Sumatra is not good, yes, because some of the budgets that should have been intended for road construction are corrupted," he continued.
In the future, the KPK reminded that there will be no more reckless practices related to projects in North Sumatra. This is because the local community is harmed if the infrastructure conditions are badly built.
"Hopefully in the future projects can be carried out with the correct mechanism and the budget is really used for road construction. So that the quality becomes good," said Budi.
