Voice Of Baceprot Reveals The Biggest Challenge Of Playing With Erwin Gutawa Orchestra In Forestra 2025

BANDUNG - Voice of Baceprot (VoB) will appear with an orchestra led by Erwin Gutawa for their appearance at Forestra 2025 which will be held at Orhid Forest Cikole, Lembang, West Bandung on August 30.

Even though he had previously performed with Erwin Gutawa Orchestra, the trio from Garut said that thorough preparation and several training sessions would be carried out to perform optimally on the Forestra stage.

Given a different musical setting, VoB personnel have revealed that the biggest challenge playing with the orchestra is following the nature of his disciplined music.

"(The toughest challenge) is disciplined, because we don't have a disciplined gig," said Widi (bass) when met after a press conference at Orhid Forest Cikole, Wednesday, July 2.

"We only have three musical instruments, while there are a lot of orchestras. So we have to focus more and then get used to using ear monitors," added the bassist.

"We usually use floor monitors, now it's the same as an orchestra, and those that will be heard in the ears will be more instruments," said Marsya (guitar).

Meanwhile, to appear in the middle of the forest in the Lembang highlands, Marsya said the biggest challenge emerging from the venue was the cold temperature and the design of the place to watch.

"Looking from before, the audience is sitting, we are less used to sitting spectators. Now that will be our adaptation too," said Marsya.

Lebih lanjut mengenai metode latihan yang akan dijalani VoB dengan orchestra, Marsya menjelaskan, selain latihan bersama, nantinya latihan akan dijalankan secara terpisah.

Given that VoB personnel are not very capable of practicing with partors, later they will receive an orchestral music sample received from Erwin Gutawa.

"So, later (the training) will not be in the form of a parturator, the shape will be just a briefing with all the orchestras. Later, the most samples will be given for training," said Marsya.

"We have a base in Garut, not in Jakarta, so we will give a sample to work on in Garut, then we will continue to be brought to Jakarta," he concluded.
