Prabowo Orders Quick Rescue Of Victims Of KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya Drowning
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said President Prabowo Subianto instructed to rescue victims of the sinking of the KMP passenger ship Tunu Pratama Jaya in the waters of the Bali Strait, Wednesday (2/7).
"Mr. President received reports and information from the country that there had been an accident in the sinking of KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya in the Bali Strait due to bad weather, the ship departed from Ketapang Port on Wednesday night," Teddy said in a statement from Makkah, Thursday, July 3.
Seskab Teddy explained that even though he was carrying out worship in the Holy Land, the President was still quick to respond to developments in the domestic situation.
He immediately gave instructions to all relevant ranks to prioritize saving the victims.
"From the Holy Land, he immediately ordered the ranks of Basarnas and related agencies to immediately carry out an emergency response to save passengers and crew as quickly as possible," said Teddy.
KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya departed from Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, to Gilimanuk Port, Bali, before having an accident due to bad weather.

The four survivors were Saroji (47), Mansur (40), and Romi Alga Hidayat, all of whom came from Blimbingsari, Banyuwangi, and Sandi (44) from Genteng, Banyuwangi. Currently, they are being questioned by officers at the Gilimanuk BPTD Office.
