Kutuk Serangan Israel, Indonesia Appreciates The Commitment And Struggle Director Of RS Indonesia Gaza

JAKARTA - Indonesia condemns the Israeli attack that killed dr. Marwan Al Sultan appreciated the commitment to the struggle of the Director of Indonesian Hospital in the Gaza Strip, Palestine.

"Indonesia is sorry for the death of dr. Marwan Al Sultan, Director of the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, and his family on July 2, 2025 and condemns the Israeli attack," the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a tweet on social media X, as quoted July 3.

"Indonesia appreciates his services, commitment and struggle for humanity and for peace in Palestine," the ministry continued.

Previously, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that dr. Marwan and his wife and several children were killed in an Israeli fighter attack targeting an apartment in the western region of Gaza.

The attack was part of an Israeli warplane attack targeting residential areas and schools in Gaza City.

The Director of Protection for Indonesian Citizens at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, said in a previous statement that the late dr. Marwan is not an Indonesian citizen, but the ministry monitors the news of the death of dr. Marwan and his family.

"Indonesia continues to closely monitor the development of Indonesian hospitals in Gaza," said the ministry.

A total of at least 45 people were killed as a result of Israeli attacks across the Gaza region on Wednesday according to medics, quoted by Anadolu.

Meanwhile, medical sources in the enclave on Wednesday confirmed the death toll from Palestine since the latest conflict broke out on October 7, 2023, had reached 57,012 people, while injuries reached 134,592 people.

"Indonesia is again calling for the end of Israeli atrocities and an immediate ceasefire in Palestine," the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
