The Indonesian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Conveys Condolences For The Death Of The Director Of The Indonesian Hospital In Gaza

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also mourned the death of the Director of the Indonesian Hospital in the Gaza Strip, Palestine on Wednesday.

The Director of Protection for Indonesian Citizens at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, said his ministry was monitoring the news of the death of dr. Marwan Al Sultan.

"We are sorry for the death of dr. Marwan Al Sultan," Judha said in a ministry statement, adding "The deceased is not an Indonesian citizen," as quoted Wednesday, July 2.

Previously, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that dr. Marwan and his wife and several children were killed in an Israeli fighter attack targeting an apartment in the western region of Gaza.

The attack was part of an Israeli warplane attack targeting residential areas and schools in Gaza City.

A total of at least 45 people were killed as a result of Israeli attacks across the Gaza region on Wednesday according to medics, quoted by Anadolu.

Meanwhile, medical sources in the enclave on Wednesday confirmed the death toll from Palestine since the latest conflict broke out on October 7, 2023, had reached 57,012 people, while injuries reached 134,592 people.

"Among the victims were 6,454 dead and 22,551 injured reported since March 18, as Israel continued its military campaign after a brief ceasefire," the source said.
