BPS Records Farmers Exchange Rate Of South Sumatra Down 2.10 Percent In June 2025
JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency recorded an exchange rate for farmers (NTP) of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) of 122.38 or a decrease of 2.10 percent in the period June 2025 when compared to May 2025 it reached 125.01.
Head of South Sumatra BPS Moh Wahyu Yulianto said the decline in NTP in South Sumatra in June 2025 was due to a 2.06 percent decrease in the index received by farmers, while the paid index increased by 0.04 percent.
It was also influenced by the decline in NTP in the horticultural sub-sector of 3.87 percent, plantations 2.80 percent, fisheries 0.06 percent, fishing fisheries 0.25 percent.
Meanwhile, the NTP sub-sector has increased, namely the food crop sub-sector of 0.60 percent, livestock 0.15 percent, and aquaculture of 0.24 percent.
"How many of the main commodities contributing to NTP have also decreased, such as dried seed coffee, rubber, palm oil, red chili, corn, terung, long beans, and cassava," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 2.
Then, for the household consumption index, it increased from 127.23 to 127.26, an increase of 0.02 percent.

The increase was due to the increase in indexes in all groups, ranging from food, beverages, and tobacco, clothing and footwear, housing, water, electricity, and household fuel.
"The South Sumatra farmer's business exchange rate (NTUP) in the June 2025 period was 125.51, down 2.15 percent when compared to the previous month's NTUP," said Wahyu.
