TNI Diplomacy With Other Military Anticipates Geopolitical Conditions
TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto said the TNI was in diplomatic contact with other military countries to anticipate the geopolitical and geostrategy conditions that are currently developing.
"Keep carrying out diplomatic military relations with army commanders in several countries, whether we visit there or the commander or chief of staff from other countries visit Indonesia," Agus said after a meeting with Commission I of the DPR as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 2.
On the other hand, he said the TNI also held several exercises with the military from other countries to student exchanges.
According to Agus, the TNI has a network with 26 countries to send soldiers from the captain's level to a higher rank.
In addition, other countries in Southeast Asia or Asia Pacific also send their personnel to attend education in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said that the philosophy of the state adopted by Indonesia was "a thousand friends too few, one enemy too many".
According to him, Indonesia has an active free political attitude and is not involved in the conflicts that occur in other regions. However, Indonesia has special attention to humanitarian conditions that need to be upheld.
Sjafrie said that the conflict that had occurred in the Middle East since October 7, 2024 had caused around 60 thousand victims.
