Gojek Soal Tariff Naik 8-15 Persen: Ini Penting Jaga Keberlanjutan Ekosistem

Gojek stated its readiness to adjust the two-wheel service tariff (2W) in accordance with government regulations and affirmed its commitment to maintaining balance in the online transportation ecosystem.

This was conveyed by the Director of Public Affairs and Communications GoTo, Ade Mulya in response to the Ministry of Transportation's plan (Kemenhub) to increase online motorcycle taxi rates by 8 to 15 percent.

"Gojek ensures that all tariff implementations follow the regulations that apply from the government," said Ade in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 2.

He explained that his party is currently conducting a thorough study with the Ministry of Transportation, in line with the discussion at the Commission V meeting of the DPR RI recently.

According to Ade, the study aims to make every policy taken have a positive impact on the entire ecosystem, including driver-partners, customers, and applicators.

Gojek assesses the importance of considering people's purchasing power in the context of the current economic conditions.

"We are committed to providing competitive tariffs and according to regulations by considering people's purchasing power according to current economic conditions," he said.

Gojek also stated that he would continue to actively coordinate with the government so that policy implementation can be carried out fairly and proportionally.

An open attitude towards regulation and cross-sectoral cooperation is considered a strategic step to create healthy stability and growth in the online transportation industry.

With this approach, Gojek hopes that the tariff adjustment can later become a solution that strengthens the sustainability of the digital economy and supports the welfare of driver-partners in the midst of the growing economic challenges.

"This is important to maintain the sustainability of the ecosystem and ensure that service demand remains high, thus supporting partner income in the long term," he said.
