All Angkasa Pura I Airports Have Been Equipped With GeNose C-19 Services
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Faik Fahmi said, until May 2021 all airports managed by Angkasa Pura I have been equipped with a COVID-19 test service, namely GeNose C-19.
"GeNose C-19 service which has been implemented at all Angkasa Pura I airports will further complement the COVID-19 test service at the airport in addition to the rapid antigen test as one of the conditions for air travel. It is hoped that the various options for the COVID-19 test service will make it easier. prospective aircraft passengers in air travel during the adaptation period of new habits", said Faik Fahmi quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 5.
Faik Fahmi said GeNose services started from Yogyakarta-Kulon Progo International Airport and Surabaya Juanda Airport on April 1, then various other Angkasa Pura I airports also implemented the locally made COVID-19 test kits gradually from mid to late April.
He said, in April 2021, there were a total of 42,123 potential passengers using the GeNose C-19 service at 15 Angkasa Pura I airports, where this number represents an average of 7 percent of the total departing passengers of 612,825 passengers.
In providing GeNose C-19 services at 15 airports, Angkasa Pura I provides as many as 72 GeNose C-19 engines.
The highest number of prospective passengers using GeNose C-19 is at Juanda Airport, Surabaya, namely 12,857 potential passengers or 5 percent of the total departing passengers of 256,689 passengers. The second-highest number of GeNose C-19 users is at Yogyakarta-Kulon Progo International Airport, with 11,399 potential passengers or 16 percent of the total departing passengers of 70,848 passengers.
For information, after Yogyakarta - Kulon Progo International Airport and Surabaya Juanda Airport implemented the GeNose C-19 service on April 1; following I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport which has implemented GeNose C-19 service on April 9; Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar on April 16; SAMS Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan and Sentani Airport on April 22; Banjarmasin Syamsudin Noor Airport on April 23; Ambon Pattimura Airport on April 24; Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang and El Tari Kupang Airport on April 28; Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo, Lombok Praya Airport, Manado Sam Ratulangi Airport, and Frans Kaisiepo Biak Airport on April 29; and Adisutjipto Airport on April 30.
The price for the GeNose C-19 service at all Angkasa Pura I airports is IDR 40,000 with operational hours at each airport, namely:
1. Yogyakarta International Airport - Kulon Progo at 08.00 - 16.00 WIB equipped with 5 GeNose C-19 engines.
2. Juanda Airport Surabaya at 08.00 - 17.00 WIB, equipped with 10 GeNose C-19 machines.
3. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport from 09.00 - 19.00 WITA, equipped with 8 GeNose C-19 engines.
4. Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar at 06.00 - 11.00 WITA, equipped with 9 GeNose C-19 engines.
5. SAMS Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan at puku; 08.00 - 15.00 WITA, equipped with 5 GeNose C-19 machines.
6. Jayapura Sentani Airport at 06.30 - 14.00 WIT, equipped with 3 GeNose C-19 engines.
7. Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin at puku; 08.00 - 14.00 WITA, equipped with 3 GeNose C-19 engines.
8. Ambon Pattimura Airport at 07.00 - 12.00 WIT, equipped with 2 GeNose C-19 engines.
9. Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang from 07.00 - 15.00 WIB, equipped with 2 GeNose C-19 engines.
10. El Tari Kupang Airport at 07.00 - 14.00 WITA, equipped with 3 GeNose C-19 engines.
11. Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo from 08.00 - 15.00 WIB, equipped with 2 GeNose C-19 machines.
12. Lombok Praya Airport at 09.00 - 15.00 WITA, equipped with 2 GeNose C-19 engines.
13. Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado, 07.00 - 16.00 WITA, equipped with 3 GeNose C-19 engines.
14. Yogyakarta Adisutjipto Airport from 06.00 - 14.00 WIB, equipped with 2 GeNose C-19 engines.
15. Frans Kaisiepo Biak Airport from 06.00 - 12.00 WIT, equipped with 1 GeNose C-19 engine.
Faik Fahmi added that the GeNose C-19 service did not replace other COVID-19 test services at airports such as Antigen Swab and PCR. Prospective passengers planning to use the GeNose C-19 service are advised to arrive at the airport 3-4 hours before departure time.
In addition, for prospective GeNose C-19 users who are fasting, there is a possibility of an increase in stomach acid after 6 hours from the time of dawn where this condition can affect the results of the GeNose C-19 examination tends to be positive.
"Therefore, prospective GeNose C-19 users who are fasting are encouraged to check GeNose C-19 in the morning or a maximum of 6 hours after suhoor", he said.
In providing GeNose C-19 inspection services, Angkasa Pura I is working with one of its subsidiaries, namely Angkasa Pura Supports, which is also partnering with Farmalab and ASA Clinic for GeNose services at Sentani Airport.
