Bali Immigration Deports German Foreigners To Violate Stay Permits
DENPASAR - Singaraja Immigration Office, Bali, deported an elderly German foreign national for violating a 2.5-month stay permit.
"This case stems from a public report regarding the existence of foreigners who are suspected of violating immigration rules in the Singaraja area," said Singaraja Immigration Head Hendra Setiawan, Tuesday, July 1.
The German foreigner with the initials HPB came to Bali on December 5, 2024, using a residence permit for a visit.
However, until June 12, 2025, the 75-year-old did not extend his residence permit in Bali until an immigration officer finally took him.
Immigration assesses HPB was negligent because it exceeded the residence permit in Bali.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 78 paragraph 3 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, HPB is subject to immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and deterrence.
The deportation was carried out through I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to Bangkok and continued towards Munich, Germany.
In accordance with Article 102 of the law, deterrence can be carried out for a maximum of 6 months and each time it can be extended for a maximum of 6 months.
In addition, life imprisonment can also be imposed on foreigners who are considered to be disturbing security and public order.
To increase supervision of foreigners, his party opened a telephone service (hotline) for Singaraja Immigration through the number 0813-5390-9733.
The public can report through this number if they find foreigners with suspicious activities and are expected to violate immigration regulations equipped with supporting evidence.
