KPK Searches Several Locations After OTT In North Sumatra
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched a number of locations after holding a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Thursday, June 26. This forced effort is to find evidence of alleged bribery of road construction projects at the PUPR Service and PJN Satker Region 1 North Sumatra.
"The search is still ongoing," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 1.
Budi did not specify where the search was carried out.
"It can't be said yet because friends (investigators, ed) are still on the field," he said.
"There was a search, but what the results were, what they were like, we will tell you later because our friends are still in the field," continued Budi.
As previously reported, the KPK held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in the North Sumatra region on Thursday, June 26. It is suspected that money was given in the road construction project in the province.

From this activity, five people were finally named as suspects. They are the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR) Topan Obaja Putra Ginting or Topan Ginting; Effendi Siregar Rasul as the Head of the UPTD Gunung Tua North Sumatra Province PUPR Service concurrently the Commitment Making Officer (PPK); Heliyanto as PPK PJN Satker Region I North Sumatra Province; M. Akhirun Efendi Siregar as the President Director of PT DNG; and M. Rayhan Dulasmi PIlang as the Director of PT RN.
The Typhoon was inaugurated as Head of PUPR on February 24 by the Governor of North Sumatra Bobby Nasution. He previously served as Head of the Public Works Service or the Department of Water Resources, Highways and Construction Development of Medan City and had sat as Acting (Plt) Medan City Secretary when the son-in-law of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia sat as Mayor of Medan.
Setelah ditetapkan jadi tersangka, Topan bersama empat orang lainnya akan ditahan di Rutan KPK. Upaya paksa ini dilaksanakan selama 20 hari pertama dan akan diperpanjang sesuai kebutuhan penyidik.
