Puan Said About Gibran's Impeachment Letter: We Will Process According To Mechanism
Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, said that her party had not received a letter of impeachment for the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, which was sent by the Retired Forum for TNI Soldiers to the DPR and MPR RI.
According to Puan, the leadership of the DPR RI will process according to the applicable mechanism when the letter has reached its desk. Until now, the letter has been confirmed to be still at the Secretariat General of the DPR RI.
"We have not received the letter because it was only last Tuesday (Last week, ed) that the trial period was opened, there were still many letters that piled up, but later when it was received of course we will read it and we will process it according to the mechanism," said Puan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 1.
Puan denied that the letter was not a special concern for the DPR RI because it was sent during the recess. However, said Puan, the DPR RI only opened the session period on Tuesday, June 24, so there are still many letters that have not yet reached the leadership table.
"Yes, during the recess period, but it was only opened last Tuesday during the trial period and there were still a lot of letters. So we'll see how it is and how it is like," said Puan.

In addition, added Puan, the leadership of the DPR also needs to coordinate with the MPR and DPD RI regarding the follow-up to the letter.
"And whether the MPR and DPD have received it, I have not coordinated with the secretary general and have not coordinated with the structure of the MPR and DPD," he concluded.
