Bali Police Hunt DPO For Ukrainian Foreigners Robbery In Kuta

Bali Police are hunting for one person who is on the wanted list (DPO) suspected of robbery of a Ukrainian citizen Igor Iermakov (48) in Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.

The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Ariasandy, said that the perpetrator whose identity was still kept secret was a foreign national who was detected as already outside Bali.

"This is a DPO issued by the Bali Police throughout the country of Interpol and is currently in the process of being searched," he said, Tuesday, July 1.

One suspected perpetrator who is on the wanted list is the result of an investigation and investigation by the Bali Police Ditreskrimum.

Requests for assistance to countries that are members of Interpol have also been issued some time ago.

"Determination of suspects and issuance of DPOs will certainly go through an investigation process. Even though the person concerned is not in our country. Every movement will definitely be read in immigration and every country that is members of Interpol," said Sandy.

Previously, the robbery incident occurred on December 15, 2024. At that time the victim and the driver with the initials A drove a white BMW car.

On their way around Jalan Tundun Turtle Dipal, Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, they were suddenly blocked by two cars, namely Alphard cars by blocking the road from front and rear.

After that, from the car in front, four people dressed in black came out wearing face coverings or masks with knives, hammers and pistols.

They took the victim and the driver to get into one of the cars in handcuffs with their heads covered with a black head covering.

Furthermore, the perpetrators took the victim and the driver to a villa in the South Kuta area, Badung Regency.

When they arrived at the villa, the perpetrators forcibly took the victim's cellphone. They then hit the victim to be willing to transfer cryptocurrency assets to two accounts that allegedly belonged to the perpetrator.

"Then continued the beating and forced the complainant (victim) to give the reporter's binance account to be forcibly taken by the complainant's crypto asset," said Sandy.

The victim suffered injuries to his right ear, right and left wrists, as well as bruises on his left hand, left eye, back head and right waist, as well as material losses of approximately IDR 3,496,790,194.

The Bali Police had arrested a suspected perpetrator at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. However, during the investigation, investigators did not find any evidence of the perpetrator's involvement, so that day investigators also released him.
