GAC AION UT Specifications, BYD Dolphin Challenger Electric Hatchback
JAKARTA - Urban electric cars are getting more and more options, after GAC AION will launch its newest product, AION UT, at the GIIAS 2025 event.
His presence is a strong challenger for the BYD Dolphin electric car which is suitable for use in urban areas. So what are the full specifications?
Design
In order to design, AION UT has a seamless and attractive shape, especially since it has the European Aesthetic design language. This car was designed directly by GAC's latest designer, Stephan Janin, based at the GAC Advance Design Center Europe. Taking the philosophy of Milan's nuanced design, at the front of this electric hatchback has a lamp that resembles a Daan's eye, as well as a customs light matrix.
In dimensions, this car has a length of 4,270 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,575 mm with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Meanwhile, the challenger BYD Dolphin is 4,290 mm long, 1,770 mm wide, and 1,570 mm high. The wheelbase is 2,700 mm. On paper, there are indeed several advantages in AION UT.

AION UT comes with two variants ranging from Standard which is equipped with a 44 kWh battery with a distance of 400 km, while Premium uses a 60 kWh battery with a distance of 500 km. The electric motor also has two options, namely 100 kW and 150 kW with 210 Nm torque. On paper, the 0-100 kph acceleration is completed within 8.3 seconds.
Meanwhile, BYD Dolphin is also present in two variants ranging from Dynamic (Standar Range) and Premium (Extended Range). Regarding the distance traveled, the electric car produces 410 km with a battery capacity of 44.9 kWh in one charge, and can go 0-100 km/h 12.3 seconds, referring to the official website BYD Indonesia.
Price
The price of GAC AION UT has not been announced, but it is predicted to be accompanied by the official launch. But referring to Dolphin's price, the electric car is priced from Rp369-429 million in Jakarta OTR. Most likely the UT price is not much different from the figure above.
