2 Rockets Hit Iraq's Kirkuk Military Base
JAKARTA - Two Katyusha rockets landed inside an Iraqi military air base in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Monday.
"One person was injured and no casualties were reported," a security source told Reuters.
There has been no information regarding the perpetrators of the attack and other impacts due to the rocket impact.
Last week, a number of locations and military bases belonging to Iraqi security forces were targeted by drones. The attack resulted in significant damage to two military radar systems that sparked calls from the prime minister to conduct an investigation.
The source of the drone was unclear until the results of the investigation were completed. But two security sources said the drone was small and had been flown to a location that was targeted from a nearby location.
The two badly damaged military radar systems are located in Taji Camp, north of Baghdad, and at Imam Ali Base in Dhi Qar province, in southern Iraq, Iraqi military spokesman Sabah al-Naman said in a statement reported by Reuters, Tuesday, June 24.

No casualties were reported, the spokesman said.
The statement said all targets were fully operated and managed by Iraqi security forces.
The Iraqi prime minister ordered an immediate investigation into the state of the attack.
