Apple Will Present Solutions For MacBook Menu Bar Problem At MacOS 26 Tahoe

JAKARTA Apple will address the problem of the density of the menu bar caused by the notch. This problem will reportedly be overcome through a feature that will be launched at macOS 26 Tahoe.

Reporting from 9to5mac, Apple will bring in a major update that brings a New Control Center on Mac. This control center provides third-party integration that offers fast control and smaller interactions beyond the menu bar.

This is an important update for a number of Mac users. Previously, MacBook users would find it difficult to access the application because the menu bar space is limited. This is due to the notch that takes most of the middle space.

Some app icons can be invisible so users have to use third-party apps to adjust the additional menu bar. This problem has emerged since Apple brought updates to the MacBook Pro 2021 and MacBook Air 2022.

Apple does not offer any built-in solutions to address this issue over the years. Fortunately, this issue will be resolved in the near future after macOS 26 named Tahoe launched.

Thanks to the Control Center Apple launched on macOS 26, users can access essential functions without the need to open the entire app, reduce clusters on the menu bar. Apple also stated that the display will feel bigger because the menu bar is transparent.

"Your show (will) feel bigger with a transparent menu bar. And you have more ways to adjust the controls and layouts in the menu bar and Control Center, even from third parties," Apple said via its website.

Although this feature is a big addition, there are several requirements to get it. Developers need to support a new API in macOS Tahoe and the existing menu bar items cannot be immediately adopted to the Control Center.
