Mochizuki Says There Are Still Weaknesses Even Though The Indonesian Women's National Team Wins Over Kyrgyzstan

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Women's National Team opened the trip in Group D of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Qualification with positive results.

Garuda Pertiwi won 1-0 over Kyrgyzstan through Isa Warps' single goal in the 65th minute at Sport Center Kelapa Dua Stadium, Tangerang, Sunday, June 29, 2025, WIB night.

Coach Satoru Mochizuki's team appeared dominant from the early minutes and continued to press the opponent's defense.

Despite winning three points, Mochizuki admits that there are still some notes that need to be improved.

"We still have weaknesses, especially in terms of ball control and bait accuracy. An evaluation will be carried out soon so that the team will perform better in the next match," he said.

Meanwhile, the team captain, Shafira Ika, also expressed his appreciation to all parties for this result.

"Thank you to the entire team including officials and all the supporters who support it," he said.

The victory made the Indonesian Women's National Team ranked second in the Group D standings with three points.

The number of points is the same as that of China Taipei, which is at the top of the standings with a goal difference advantage. You see, China Taipei managed to beat Pakistan with a landslide score of 8-0 in the first match.
