Isa Warps Brings The Indonesian Women's National Team To First Victory In The 2026 Asian Cup Qualification

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Women's National Team managed to score three points in the inaugural match of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Qualification. Garuda Pertiwi narrowly won 1-0 over Kyrgyzstan through the single goal of Isa Warps.

The meeting between the two teams took place at the SC Kelapa Dua Stadium, Tangerang, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, WIB night. In this match in Group D, the efforts of the Indonesian Women's National Team to win did not go easy.

The reason is, Garuda Pertiwi was only able to score in the 66th minute. The single goal was the result of the execution of Isa Warps.

Isa got a wild ball in the penalty box after the Kirgistan defender failed to clear the ball from the long pass from the Indonesian national team player.

The 20-year-old forward immediately fired a hard shot into the upper right corner which was missed by the Kirgistan goalkeeper.

The single goal that lasted until the long whistle was enough to lead Satoru Mochizuki's team to win over Kyrgyzstan. This result also makes Indonesia perched in second place with three points.

After winning over Kyrgyzstan, the Indonesian Women's National Team will face Pakistan on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 20.00 WIB at the same stadium.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan will face China Taipei, who in the first match defeated Pakistan with a landslide score of 8-0 to top the Group D standings.
