MRT Jakarta Conducts Internal Investigation Of Alleged Fake Diplomas Of One Of Its Employees
JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has opened its voice regarding the alleged use of fake diplomas by one of its employees.
PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head Ahmad Pratomo explained that his party is currently conducting an internal investigation into the allegation.
"Until the process is complete and proven, as well as to avoid slander, while of course the principle of presumption of innocence applies, and because it is still in a process that is not necessarily proven guilty, of course in maintaining the good name of the alleged employee, the identity is kept secret," he told VOI, Sunday, June 29.
He emphasized that if the results of the investigation prove a violation, strict sanctions will be given in accordance with the company's internal regulations, with a maximum penalty in the form of termination of employment (PHK).
"If after the internal investigation process it turns out that the employee concerned uses a fake diploma, it will be dealt with according to the internal regulations that apply to the most severe level of punishment, namely layoffs. If the results of the investigation are not proven, then we will also confirm that the news is wrong," he explained.
In addition, Tomo emphasized that his party will also take firm action against internal parties who are proven to spread false information or slander, in accordance with applicable regulations.

"We will investigate employees who spread slander or slander news to defamation, and there will be consequences based on internal regulations," he said.
Tomo also reminded that all official information to the media only came from the Directors or Corporate Secretary, or parties who received approval from Corporate Secretary and information circulating outside it could not be accounted for and considered credible.
"The employees who are proven to have violated the provisions regarding the dissemination of this information will be dealt with in accordance with applicable regulations," he concluded.
