Pemko Medan Receives 320 Hazmat Clothes, Mayor Bobby: Immediately Distributed

JAKARTA - The Municipal Government of Medan, North Sumatra, received a donation of 320 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the form of hazmat suits. This is to support the Medan City Government in dealing with COVID-19.

"Thank you for this donation. This donation will be immediately distributed to health workers, both hospitals and health centers," said the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution in Medan, Tuesday.

The mayor said that until now the COVID-19 pandemic is still sweeping the world, even mutating. Togetherness of all parties is needed in prevention and control.

Implementing health protocols, continued President Joko Widodo's son-in-law, is one of the actions that can break the chain of transmission of COVID-19.

"The implementation of health protocols must be a concern for all of us. Especially before Eid, as currently activities in markets and shopping centers are increasing," explained the Mayor.

Tjia Henryson, Area Manager of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk, admitted that his party has implemented health protocols in carrying out the company's business operations.

"We have also distributed more than 16,000 pieces of medical standard hazmat suits to districts / cities in 27 provinces," he said.
