Walkot Investigate Allegations Of Cheating In Titip Nama At SPMB Parepare, South Sulawesi
The Mayor (Walkot) of Parepare, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Tasming Hamid formed an investigation team to investigate allegations of fraud and the practice of entrusting names during registration of the New Student Admission System (SPMB).
"This is a follow-up and a response to complaints from parents of students whose children were rejected on the domicile route," said Tasming in response to protests from students' parents in Parepare, Saturday, June 28, which were confiscated by Antara.
He said the special team formed would investigate the SPMB issue and look for individuals who abused their duties or positions.
The mayor also criticized the person suspected of keeping his name at the SPMB because according to him, this treatment could damage the system that was made transparently and fairly.
He emphasized that there is no longer a place to practice deposited, through windows, magic letters or other means that damage the integrity of teachers and the world of education.
In this regard, Tasming promised to impose strict sanctions on perpetrators who were proven to have cheated on the SPMB.
"So we wait for the results of the investigation from the team first, then determine the sanctions," he said.
Those who do things that do not comply with applicable regulations will be given sanctions according to the form of violations.
Previously, the students' parents protested because their child who registered for the SPMB through the domicile route was rejected, even though the distance from house to school was very close, so they met the specified requirements.
Meanwhile, there are students who graduate through the domicile route, even though the distance from their house to school is justeru further.
