Defeat Botafogo 1-0, Palmeiras To The Quarter-Finals Of The 2025 Club World Cup

JAKARTA - Palmeiras advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Botafogo 1-0 at the Lincoln Financial Field Stadium, Philadelphia, Sunday morning WIB.

In the first extra half, Palmeiras created another chance through Richard Rios' shot, but again John Victor made a crucial rescue.

Palmeiras finally broke the deadlock in the 100th minute after beating John Victor so the score changed 1-0.

Botafogo tried to equalize and had created a chance for Vitinho, whose shot narrowly went wide to the right side of the Palmeiras goal.

Palmeiras had to play with 10 people from the 116th minute after defender Gustavo Gomez got a second yellow card.
